The route comprises 45 tunnels, 88 small bridges, and 55 major bridges, stretching through dense forests and mountainous terrain. Among them is Bridge No. 144, India’s second-highest railway bridge, standing at 114 meters, 42 meters taller than Delhi’s iconic Qutub Minar. The bridge not only sets records but also offers stunning views of Mizoram’s valleys, making this line one of the most scenic in the country.Why the Name Bairabi–Sairang Railway Line?The Bairabi–Sairang railway line gets its name from the two towns it connects in Mizoram. Bairabi, located on the Mizoram–Assam border, has long been known as the gateway to the state and served as the starting point for earlier railway links with Assam’s Silchar. On the other end, Sairang lies just about 20 kilometers from Aizawl, the state capital, making it the nearest railhead for the capital city. By linking Bairabi to Sairang, the project provides Mizoram its first-ever broad gauge railway line, firmly placing the state on India’s railway map.Direct Connections to Delhi, Kolkata, and GuwahatiWith this new line, Mizoram now enjoys direct connectivity to Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati—something that was unimaginable just a few years ago. The Sairang–Delhi Rajdhani Express will run once a week, covering 2,510 km in 45 hours and 30 minutes, while the Sairang–Kolkata train will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, completing the 1,530 km journey in 31 hours and 15 minutes. The Sairang–Guwahati train will depart from Sairang at 12:30 pm and reach Guwahati at 2:30 am, reducing the earlier road journey by nearly four hours. Alongside these passenger services, goods trains will also begin operations soon, promising economic uplift for Mizoram’s farmers, entrepreneurs, and traders by connecting local produce and products to wider markets across India.From Isolation to IntegrationFor Mizoram, this rail line is more than just steel tracks and bridges; it is about ending decades of geographical isolation. Earlier, reaching Delhi or Kolkata from Aizawl was a long and exhausting journey via road and air. Now, with direct trains, the state is firmly linked with the rest of the country. This new connection reduces the Aizawl–Silchar travel time from seven hours by road to just three hours by train. Similarly, Aizawl–Guwahati now takes 12 hours by train compared to 16 by road. For a student heading to Delhi for higher studies, a farmer sending ginger to Kolkata, or a patient traveling to Guwahati for treatment, this line is a bridge of hope and opportunity.PM Modi’s Northeast PushAs part of his two-day Northeast tour, he not only inaugurated the Bairabi–Sairang railway project but also laid the foundation stone for schemes worth ₹9,000 crore in the state, including major roads, bridges, and social infrastructure. Built in one of the most challenging terrains, the bridge is more than just infrastructure—it’s a bold symbol of unity, progress, and the promise of a connected India.The Construction of This Engineering Marvel! Built at a cost of around Rs 1,400 crore, the Chenab Bridge is a 1,315-meter steel arch and concrete structure, consisting of a 530-meter approach bridge and a 785-meter deck arch bridge. The bridge's construction was a massive undertaking, with several challenges to overcome. One of the biggest hurdles was building the bridge without obstructing the flow of the Chenab River. Additionally, the absence of any road link to the site made it difficult to transport heavy machinery and materials. Despite these challenges, the construction team, led by Afcons Infrastructure, South Korea-based Ultra Construction & Engineering Company, and VSL India, successfully completed the project.A Wonder: Design and Safety Features The Chenab Bridge is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, earthquakes, and high-intensity explosions. Its steel structure can withstand temperatures up to -20 degree C and wind speeds up to 266 km per hour. The bridge is also designed to handle train speeds up to 100 km per hour and can withstand earthquakes up to a magnitude of 8 on the Richter Scale. Moreover, it can even withstand high-intensity explosions equivalent to 40 tonnes of TNT. The bridge's deck is located on a transition curve with changing radius, making its construction a complex task. The use of sophisticated Tekla software helped in building 3D models of the bridge, ensuring precision and accuracy.A New Era in Rail ConnectivityThe Chenab Bridge is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Line (USBRL) project  359 meters above the Chenab River , which aims to connect Kashmir with the rest of India via trains. The project, which began 42 years ago, is a significant milestone in India's rail infrastructure development. With the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, Prime Minister Modi will also flag off two specially designed Vande Bharat trains between Srinagar and Katra, marking a new era in rail connectivity in the region. The bridge's lifespan is designed to be 120 years, ensuring a safe and reliable transportation system for generations to come. sanctioned in 1994-95 at an estimated cost of Rs 2,500 crore and later declared a National Project in 2002. The return journey is equally convenient, with the train departing from Ekta Nagar at 8:23 p.m. and reaching Ahmedabad at 12:05 a.m. Covering a distance of 182 kilometers between Ekta Nagar and Ahmedabad, this journey is set to be a non-stop adventure. The one-way fare for this delightful route is a reasonable Rs 885, making it an accessible and attractive option for travelers. Each of the three coaches on the heritage train can accommodate up to 48 passengers, ensuring a comfortable and spacious journey. A First for India: PM Modi Inaugurates Kochi Water Metro

India has launched its first-ever "Water Metro" services in Kochi, Kerala, connecting 10 islands around Kochi with electrically propelled hybrid ferries. The project, costing Rs 1,136.83 crore, was funded by the Kerala government and German funding agency KfW. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the project on Tuesday, calling it a significant enhancement to the city's infrastructure. The service will benefit more than a lakh residents of the islands, easing their daily commute and transportation. Manufactured by Cochin Shipyard Limited, the project will begin with eight electric hybrid boats, with a total of 78 electric boats and 38 terminals. The Kochi Water Metro project's first phase will start with service from High Court-Vypin terminals to Vyttila-Kakkanad terminals, with a minimum ticket rate of Rs 20. The service will offer weekly and monthly passes for regular passengers, and passengers can use the Kochi One Card to travel in both Kochi Metro Rail and Kochi Water Metro. Tickets can be booked digitally through the Kochi One App. The project has also generated employment opportunities for women in the region, with thirty staff appointed for housekeeping and ticketing from the women self-help group, Kudumbashree. The group expressed that more women would be employed as the need arises. The launch of India's first-ever Water Metro services marks a significant step towards developing the country's water-based transportation infrastructure, promoting eco-friendly transportation and boosting the economy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Dedicates Asia's Largest Helicopter Factory to the Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) helicopter facility in Tumakuru, Karnataka, to the country on March 6, 2021. In 2016, Prime Minister Modi laid the facility's foundation stone for a brand-new, greenfield helicopter plant. This facility will greatly enhance India's ability to produce helicopters creating employment opportunities for about 6,000 people in the region. The facility, which is now officially open, will initially produce the Light Utility Helicopters (LUH), a 3-tonne class, single-engine multipurpose utility helicopter with the unique feature of high maneuverability. As India's first indigenously designed and developed helicopter, the LUH is intended to replace the Cheetah and Chetak helicopters currently in operation by the Indian Armed forces. Additionally, it has a single turbo shaft engine with enough power margin to handle challenging high-altitude missions as well as a glass cockpit with multi-function displays. The LUH has a range of 350 km with a 500 kg payload, a service ceiling of 6.5 km, and a top speed of 220 kmph. Future plans for the Tumakuru facility include the production of Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) and Indian Multirole Helicopters (IMRH), as well as the maintenance and repair of LCH, LUH, Civil ALH, and IMRH. Additionally, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) believes that the facility will enable India to meet its entire requirement of helicopters indigenously, attaining the distinction of enabling self-reliance in helicopter design, development and manufacture within the nation. Over the next 20 years, HAL intends to construct more than 1000 helicopters in the 3-15 tonne class from Tumakuru using a production setup that adheres to Industry 4.0 norms. With its dedication, the PMO has high expectations that the Tumakuru Helicopters Factory will boost India's status in the field of aviation and help India become self-reliant in the aerospace industry.

The eight-lane expressway, which is expandable to 12 lanes, is part of the first phase of the Bharatmala Pariyojana and is expected to be completed by March 2023. The expressway will cover five states, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, and is expected to drive economic growth in the regions it passes through. The Bharatmala Pariyojana aims to optimize the efficiency of the movement of goods and people across India. Its first phase, approved in October 2017, involves the development of 34,800 km of national highways, with a focus on corridor-based development to ensure infrastructure symmetry and consistent road user experience. The Vadodara-Ankleshwar section of the expressway is nearly complete, along with the Ambala-Kotputli Corridor and the Amritsar-Jamnagar Corridor. He added that although efforts had been made to undermine Netaji's contribution to the freedom struggle, the entire nation—from Delhi and Bengal to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands—is today honoring the great hero by conserving the history and culture that are connected to him. The largest unnamed island bears the name of Major Somnath Sharma, the first recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who died in combat on November 3, 1947, spurning off Pakistani infiltrators close to Srinagar Airport. During the virtual ceremony's opening, Prime Minister Modi remarked that it is in the region of Andaman where the tricolor was hoisted for the first time and where India's first independent government was established. As It is also the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Bose, this day is recognized nationwide as Parakram Diwas. India To Get a Swanky New Parliament Building by January End

The construction of the new Parliament building is slated to get over by January end as finishing touches are being made to the interior at a breakneck pace. The Central Vista, the country's power corridor, is being renovated, and it includes the new Parliament building. A grand constitution hall showcasing India's democratic legacy would be included in the new Parliament building in New Delhi, along with a library, many committee rooms, dining places, and plenty of parking. The project is being carried out by the CPWD, which is under the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. It includes remodeling the three km Rajpath from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to the India Gate, building a common central secretariat, a new prime minister's office, and residence, and creating a new vice-president enclave. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the new, state-of-the-art Parliament building in December 2020. A decision on whether the entire session or just the second half, which starts after a break in March, will be held in the new building has yet to be made, according to sources in the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. The triangular new building, designed by Ahmedabad-based HCP Design, Planning, and Management, is being built by Tata Projects.

An official statement states that the 51-day cruise is scheduled to stop at 50 popular tourist destinations, including World Heritage Sites, National Parks, river Ghats, and important cities like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Guwahati in Assam. The ship is built with sustainability concepts at its core and has technologies for noise reduction and pollution-free operations. 32 Swiss tourists will enjoy the Varanasi to Dibrugarh excursion on the MV Ganga Vilas' inaugural trip.   Visitors to an annual function at Chakhri Dadri's Apeejay School were astounded to witness children from classes six through twelfth speaking fluently about the science models they had created while urging the audience to put in their best efforts to safeguard the planet. To inform and educate people about the adverse effects of climate change, the students demonstrated models about energy transformation, rainwater harvesting, using waste material and biodegradable materials in a science exhibition held at the school. The smart city plan created by the children, which uses all environmentally friendly resources to run the city, including solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and electric cars, was a dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well. It received significant praise from the guests and visitors. Speaking to TOI, Pankaj Kaushik, a science teacher at the school said that all 30 models were prepared by the students on their own with little help from their teachers and with whatever waste materials they could gather in school and at home. Rainwater harvesting, the functioning of heat, the lungs and excretory system, and volcanic eruption were some of the key science models that captured the attention of visitors. It will be coordinated by a team of 42 members headed by union minister Harshavardhan. Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jairam Thakur will be honoured for his decision to make Sanskrit the state’s second language. The event will also be attended by 283 Sanskrit speaking families. The interesting fact about these machines is that it can recharge your phone. All you have to do is to just key in your phone number. Reducing Plastic Footprint This step was introduced by the Railways in a bid to encourage more people to use bottle crushing machines and reduce their plastic footprint. People will certainly be attracted to these machines for the double benefit of disposing of plastic in a proper way and also of getting their phone recharged. Further, the Railways have also issued orders that single-use plastic will not be used in its premises since October 2. Taking Needful Steps To achieve the Prime Minister’s aim of making the country free of single-use plastic, Railways started this initiative of recharging phones of people who use bottle crushing machines. However, details of the recharge were not known immediately. Railway Board Chairman V.K. Yadav said that 160 bottle-crushing machines have already been installed at 128 stations. He has also issued instructions to the railway staff to collect used plastic bottles and send them for recycling. Earlier, the Railway had directed the vendors and staff to replace plastic carry bags with reusable ones. All these measures will help to reduce our plastic footprint to a great extent. The towering 182 m tall statue was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2018 along with the Wall of Unity which is a monument defining India’s unity built near the towering structure. Location The gigantic Statue of Unity is built on a river island named Sadhu Bet that faces the Sardar Sarovar dam in Narmada district in Gujarat. It is 100 km southeast of the city of Vadodara and 150 km from Surat. It is shot in the scenic Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand. The show will be showcased in more than 180 countries across the world on Discovery network channels. Incredible India Campaign Incredible India is an international campaign launched by the government in 2002 to promote tourism. The website which earlier had pictures and videos of monuments and tourist spots in India will now display images of scenes from Jim Corbett National Park, Ranthambore National Park and other national parks. It will also showcase landscapes, waterfalls and tiger reserves as it embraces the wildlife theme. The special episode is intended to create awareness about animal conservation and environmental change. Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel said that there is no bigger icon for India than the prime minister, be it wildlife or tourism or anything else. Narendra Modi willing to shift the fiscal year for January to December

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is urging to dump the 150 year old practice that was adopted in 1867. He is willing to shift the fiscal year for January-December from the current April-March. The 150 year old practice is behind fixing the budget and the financial year along with the tax returns. Narendra Modi has given many reasons for adoption of the change. The change in the period will be advantageous for farmers. In an agrarian country like India, where agricultural produce accounts to about 15 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The current period doesn’t take into account the impact of monsoon. The change in the period will help in better farm allocation. The other reason is that the world follows it. Shifting the period will help us come in synchronisation with the global practice of January-December financial period. The January-December period goes with our weather. To exemplify, the South West monsoon will affect the upcoming as well the current financial year. If we shift the fiscal year, budget can be finalised in October after the south-west monsoon. Thus it will be presented in November and thus will be followed from January for a new fiscal year. Keeping in mind the working seasons and the national culture, the shifting will result in better allocation of resources. But if the fiscal year is changed now, when the country is still adjusting the outcomes of a major financial change, it will be a lot for the government departments and firms to handle as of now when the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is round the corner for the current fiscal year.

Prime Minister Modi launches the revolutionary Aadhar linked BHIM app

The Aadhar linked Bharat Interface for Money, or the BHIM-Aadhaar app was launched today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of 126th Birth Anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar in Nagpur. The PMO India tweeted that "We are reaching a time when the mobiles phones will be where financial transactions will take place", and that "The BHIM App is positively impacting several lives across the nation". Developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the linking of the BHIM platform to Aadhaar makes bio-metrics based payments a reality. Once implemented, the customers will be able to make transactions by just using their fingerprints. This would also help eliminate the need of credit and debit cards that attract service charges while boosting the implementation of less cash economy in India. The PM mentioned that this app would help in implementing a cleanliness drive that will fight against the menace of corruption. The use of BHIM-Aadhaar app for transactions will not attract any service fees and makes it an attractive option over credit cards.  Also, while the bio-metrics based authentication makes it one of the most secure methods of transactions, it also presents one of the easiest mode of transactions.

Government to ask restaurants to fix portions to stop food wastage

A fortnight after Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern about wastage of food in his monthly Mann Ki Baat radio programme, the union food minister, Ram Vilas Paswan  has asked owners of restaurants and five star hotels to fix portions in order to avoid wastage of food in the country. A report in the Hindustan times has disclosed that the ministry was drafting a questionnaire for hotels and restaurants to explain the appropriate dish size they should serve to a customer. Paswan said that they are just asking them to specify how many chapatis or idlis or chicken pieces they would serve in a plate. In plate system, a hotel or restaurant normally does not mention the amount of food that will be served, like the number of chapatis or the quantity of rice. The government wants them to specify and mention (in the menu card) that how much they would serve in a portion. In his Mann Ki Baat last month, Modi took up the issue of food wastage at feasts and termed it as injustice to the poor. Food wastage and subsequently food shortage is a big problem in India. A September 2016 government report said that the amount of food wasted in India can feed all of Bihar for a year.

The elephant's life hung in the balance, as she was struggling to survive, but the quick actions of the reserve's staff and veterinarians saved her life. After treating the injured elephant for four hours, the reserve's team released her back into the wild and is now monitoring her closely. The staff's tireless efforts to protect the elephant's life have earned them praise from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who commended their compassion and commitment to saving wildlife. However, the incident also highlights the dangers of human activities to wild animals. A police complaint has been registered against the farm's owner, who erected the 2-ft-high electrical fence to protect his land. This raises the concern about the need to find ways where humans and wildlife can coexist peacefully. Necessary precautions need to be taken to avoid harming wildlife. This is not an isolated case, with 72 elephants dying from electrocution in Karnataka between 2014 and 2022. A novel idea of replacing plastic cutlery with edible ones!

Narayana Peesapaty was dismayed when he realized that plastic cutlery is usually not disposed of but reused. He checked one such spoon that was cleaned for reuse and found it greasy while it also had the smell of food. He also knew that plastic cannot decompose and pollutes the environment. Therefore, after much consideration, he came up with a good alternative to plastic cutlery- edible cutlery. The edible cutlery which sells under the brand Bakey’s is made mixing jowar (sorghum) with rice flour and wheat flour. The reason why he uses millets like jowar is that rice cultivation consumes a large quantity of water and he wants farmers to start growing millets instead of rice. Besides, jowar has a mild flavor and can allow different flavors to mix into it. It took Peesapaty and his wife one whole year and several kilograms of millets to finally arrive at the right recipe for the spoons. The spoon is tough enough to even stir and spoon up soups. The crisp spoons taste good and also comes in different flavors made with sugar, ginger- cinnamon, garlic, mint and even carrot and beetroot. Peesapaty was overwhelmed by the feedback of his product from the world over and is trying his best to meet the ever-increasing demand for the edible cutlery. The cutlery is environment-friendly. Even if one doesn’t consume the edible spoons and discards it, it gets decomposed within three days. On the occasion of World Environment Day, Peesapaty was awarded the Swachh Bharat Award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018. ISRO Waits With Bated Breath As Chandrayaan 2’s Lander Is Posed to Make a Historic Landing on the Moon

India is all set to make history tomorrow as Chandrayaan 2 will attempt to soft-land the lander ’Vikram’ and rover ‘Pragyaan’ on the unexplored lunar south pole. If the landing is successful, India will be the fourth country after Russia, the US and China to achieve a soft landing on the moon. India can take pride in the fact that it will be the first country in the world to launch a mission on the unexplored south pole of the moon. The Indian Space Research Organisation is waiting with bated breath for the landing to take place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be joined by about 60-70 high school students from across the country to witness the space feat live at the ISRO centre in Bengaluru. The landing module Vikram will begin descent between 1 am and 2 am on September 7 and is expected to touchdown between 1.30 am and 2.30 am. Following the landing, the rover Pragyaan which is housed inside the lander will roll out from 'Vikram' between 5.30 am and 6.30 am. The lander and rover that display the country’s symbols will remain on moon for long. ISRO Chairman K Sivan said that the entire scientific community of the nation and the globe were eagerly waiting for the mission as Chandrayaan 2 was going to the South Pole, a place where nobody else has ever gone before. He further said that the exploration of the south lunar surface is interesting because of the possibility of the presence of water in permanently shadowed areas around it. According to ISRO, the success of Chandrayaan-2 will lead to the development and demonstration of the key technologies for end-to-end lunar mission capability, including soft-landing and roving on the lunar surface. Let us hope that this mission will be a grand success and India will be over the moon, literally!

India and Oman Sign Landmark Trade Pact, Unlocking New Export Opportunities

India and Oman have taken a decisive step towards deepening their economic partnership with the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on December 18, 2025. The agreement, signed in Muscat by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, was witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. More than just a trade pact, the CEPA reflects growing trust, strategic alignment, and people-to-people ties between the two nations. At its core, the agreement aims to remove barriers to trade, boost services cooperation, and create new pathways for investment and employment. For Indian exporters, professionals, and entrepreneurs, the deal opens doors that were previously constrained by tariffs and restrictive mobility norms.Near-Total Tariff-Free Access for Indian ExportsOne of the most significant outcomes of the CEPA is Oman’s decision to provide India duty-free access to 98.08 percent of its tariff lines. This effectively covers 99.38 percent of India’s exports to Oman, offering a major competitive advantage to Indian goods in the Omani market. On the other side, India has agreed to liberalize tariffs on 77.79 percent of its tariff lines, covering 94.81 percent of imports from Oman. In 2024–25, India exported goods worth USD 4.06 billion to Oman, while imports stood at USD 6.5 billion. Although Oman accounts for less than 1 percent of India’s total trade, the strategic importance of the Gulf nation lies in its location, energy resources, and long-standing ties with India. With tariffs of around 5 percent currently applied on nearly 83.5 percent of Indian exports to Oman, the removal of these duties could significantly improve margins for Indian exporters.Relief for Key Export SectorsIndia’s exports to Oman are currently dominated by petroleum products, which already enjoy relatively low duties. However, the real gains from CEPA are expected in sectors that previously faced tariffs. Engineering goods, chemicals, textiles, and minerals such as mica and coal are among the major beneficiaries. Labor-intensive sectors like ready-made garments, which face growing tariff pressures in Western markets such as the US, are likely to find Oman a more attractive destination. In FY25 alone, India exported ready-made garments worth USH 63.8 million to Oman. For textile workers and small manufacturers in India, tariff elimination could mean more stable orders, better prices, and sustained employment. This is where the human impact of the agreement becomes visible, moving beyond macroeconomic numbers to livelihoods on the ground.A Major Boost for India’s Services SectorBeyond goods, the CEPA places strong emphasis on services, an area where India holds a natural advantage. Oman has made wide-ranging commitments across sectors such as computer-related services, professional and business services, education, healthcare, research and development, and audio-visual services. With Oman importing services worth USD12.52 billion globally, and India currently holding just over 5 percent of that share, there is ample room for expansion. The agreement also allows 100 percent foreign direct investment by Indian companies in major services sectors in Oman through commercial presence. This opens the door for Indian IT firms, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and consulting companies to establish long-term operations in the Gulf nation.Enhanced Mobility and Opportunities for ProfessionalsPerhaps the most human-centric aspect of the CEPA is the enhanced mobility framework for Indian professionals. For the first time, Oman has offered extensive commitments under Mode 4, which governs the movement of natural persons. The quota for intra-corporate transferees has been increased from 20 percent to 50 percent, while the permitted stay for contractual service suppliers has been extended from 90 days to two years, with the option of a further two-year extension. Additionally, more liberal entry and stay conditions have been offered for skilled professionals in fields such as accountancy, taxation, architecture, and medical services. For Indian professionals and their families, this means greater job security, longer-term planning, and deeper integration into the Omani economy.Part of a Larger Gulf StrategyThe India–Oman CEPA is India’s second major trade agreement with a Gulf nation, following the CEPA with the United Arab Emirates in 2022. Aditya Deepak Avadhani, a student at Deens Academy caught the attention of none other than Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself! This class 9 superstar is making waves with his unique approach to using paper.  Instead of buying new notebooks each year, Aditya uses the blank pages from his old ones for rough work and practice. And when the academic year ends, he ties them together, creating a powerful message of sustainability and environmental responsibility.  The best part? Aditya's amazing idea went viral, with his father, Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy, a senior interventional cardiologist from Bangalore, posting a photo of Aditya's notepad on Twitter.  The post instantly got viral and even got recognition from PM Narendra Modi on Twitter. He retweeted the doctor’s tweet and wrote,” A good team effort this is, with a larger message of sustainable living. Compliments to your son and you. Would urge others as well to share similar efforts, which will create greater awareness on recycling and ‘waste to wealth.’”  Meanwhile, Dr Deepak’s tweet gathered 7,137 likes and 1.6 million views. The PM’s retweet had garnered over 20k likes. “A simple thing we do in our day to day lives! Became viral and how! All credit to my wife and son for their efforts at recycling that I’m basking in this glory of sorts!” tweeted the doctor later. Recycling unused notebooks is a simple but effective way to reduce waste and minimize the impact on the environment.It’s also heartening to hear that the boy’s actions earned praise from the Prime Minister.
