Vayve Mobility, a Pune-based EV startup, has unveiled Eva, India's first-ever solar-powered electric car. With a starting price of ₹3.25 lakh (ex-showroom), Eva made its grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. He said the combination of solar panels and the electric motor, along with advanced hardware and smart software, ensures great performance.Eva comes in three variants—Nova, Stella, and Vega—and offers three battery pack options:9 kWh, 12 kWh, and 18 kWh, with prices extending up to ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).Affordable and EfficientEva significantly reduces the cost of commuting. While the average running cost of a petrol hatchback is ₹5 per kilometer, Eva slashes it to just ₹0.50 per kilometer. The optional solar roof further enhances savings by providing up to 3,000 km of free solar charging annually, meeting 30% of a city commuter's driving needs.With a top speed of 70 kmph, Eva accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 5 seconds.
