Around fifty impoverished couples were married in a "Samuh Vivah," or mass wedding, at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai by the Ambani family. This occurs just a few days before Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's highly anticipated extravagant Mumbai wedding on July 12. Approximately 800 individuals attended the mass marriages on Tuesday, including the family and friends of the marrying couples. Anklets and nose rings made of silver were among the jewelry given out. Every bride received a "Stridhan" gift of Rs 1 lakh. A year's worth of groceries and household supplies, comprising 36 necessary goods and utensils, along with gadgets like a gas stove, mixer, fan, mattress, and pillows, were given to the couples. A lavish meal was planned, and visitors were welcomed to take in the Warli Tribe's traditional Tarpa dance, which added cultural value to the event. Following the tenet "manav seva hi madhav seva" (service to humanity is service to God), the Ambani family upholds a custom of commencing each significant family occasion with altruism and community service, so showcasing their dedication to the community.
