The journey to this triumph began unexpectedly, initiated by her father, Kishanlal Chaudhary, who casually suggested she participate in a school race. Hailing from a family of farmers with no prior inclination towards athletics, it was an impromptu decision that changed Parul's life forever. Despite initial skepticism from neighbors and sexist comments, Kishanlal and his wife Rajesh Devi unwaveringly supported their daughters' passion for running. Parul, motivated by the prospect of a government job linked to sports success, never anticipated her meteoric rise in the athletic arena. Yet, her dedication, supported by advice from veterans like Diana Edulji, propelled her towards remarkable achievements. Securing a job at Western Railway in 2015 didn't deter Parul's athletic aspirations; instead, it fueled her ambition. Her relentless dedication and love for running led her to break national records and achieve extraordinary milestones, including qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Parul’s father half-jokingly urges her to consider retiring, believing she has accomplished more than enough, but Parul remains resolute about her Olympic dreams, hinting that her running journey is far from over. Know the Significance of Kisan Divas Which Is Celebrated Today

Every year, India observes Farmers’ Day or Kisan Diwas on December 23. Farmers should be given due recognition as they are the backbone of the economy of the nation. The fifth Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh, was born on this day as well. He began his career as a farmer before becoming a member of the government. His contribution to the country and farmers is celebrated on this day. The purpose of celebrating this day is to raise public awareness of the value of farmers and their important role in the overall social and economic growth of the country. Chaudhary Charan Singh is a brilliant example of how one may achieve greatness despite leading the simple lifestyle of a farmer. By promoting and helping pass many measures for farmers' reforms, Singh was instrumental in changing India's agricultural sector both before and after independence. After the Janata Party was defeated, Singh succeeded Prime Minister Morarji Desai, serving in that position from 1979 to 1980. Singh worked to improve the lives of Indian farmers throughout his brief tenure as prime minister. Several programs were put up to improve the social standing of farmers. In 2001, the Indian government decided to designate Singh's birthday as the day to commemorate Kisan Diwas in recognition of his outstanding efforts and transition from farmer to head of state. On this day, numerous events are planned across the nation each year. The farming community is significantly impacted by these activities, which also give them a platform to express their needs and goals. The most recent innovations in science and technology are presented by agricultural scientists to help farmers maximize their productivity. The government also helps farmers by holding competitions and giving awards to the winners.

Looking for a simple meal, without caring about ambience and you want to relish on the taste, then surely this is your kind of restaurant.  My Indian Dream spoke with the restaurant owner Pallavi Chaudhary who tells us their secret to run this simple yet tasteful restaurant.  Tell us about your restaurant’s speciality. We mainly serve biryanis, kebab and North Indian dishes. We believe in best taste as this is what people come to restaurant therefore strive to give our customers best taste. Our chefs have their own secret recipes. They create magic with the routine recipes. For example we serve simple Murgh Musallam or Butter Chicken or Chicken masala in our own special way. It is like preparing the food from heart and giving it a home-made twist that helps us to satisfy the taste-buds of our customers.  What do you think about ambiance, as your restaurant seems to have a simple one.  I feel that there are different types of restaurant serving different things. Few make good ambiance, few have cuisines which are never offered anywhere. We give a simple ambiance and homely food. If you wish to enjoy a delicious meal in a simple way then our restaurant serves the same. Since a year now, we have been serving our customers with a twist in the taste which they have appreciated a lot.  You are in the hoteling business, your views on food wastage. Being in this business, food wastage is bound to happen. But we regularly motivate our customers to finish everything on the plate and if someone wastes then give them a parcel. I think it is everyones responsibility to reduce food wastage and value food.  What do you think about FoodDosti app? It is surely a very good move and what I liked about this app is partial portion. One can surely order the partial portion and keep other for the next time. It is not always possible for a single person to completely finish the plate offered therefore this move of partial portion is one of the appreciated idea. Also, while we decide our menu, we deicide as per two or three people sharing one dish. If worked commercially, this idea of partial portion will surely help to reduce food wastage. There are many customers who are coming up to us with this app and using it on regular basis.
