This year’s "Children's Day" celebrations coincided with the announcement of the Doodle for Google competition winners by tech giant Google. Shlok Mukherjee of Bengal won the competition for children in classes 1 through 10. The contest received over 115,000 entries from more than 100 Indian cities.
The winning illustration by Shlok Mukherjee - "India on the center stage," has a profound impact because of its inner meaning. The Google Doodle has an image of a human and a robot holding hands. It's significant to note that the Doodle's background features images of the world and the environment.
Mukherjee, who is studying at Delhi Public School in Newton, Calcutta, explains the meaning of his doodle by saying that in the next 25 years, Indian scientists will create their eco-friendly robot for the benefit of humanity. India will make giant strides in space travel. In the upcoming years, India will grow stronger and continue to advance in the fields of yoga and Ayurveda.
According to Google, a panel of judges, which included well-known individuals like Kuriakose Vaisian, Editor-in-Chief of Tinkle Comics, selected 20 doodles for online voting. According to Google, the selection criteria for the winning entry were artistic value, ingenuity, alignment with the contest theme, and distinctiveness and novelty of the approach.
The results, which included four group winners in addition to a national winner, were determined with the help of more than 5 lakh public votes.
