It provides 26 weeks of paid maternity leave, as required by law, and also offers creches for childcare. Moreover, female pilots can choose to work on a flexible contract with two weeks of leave in a calendar month until their child reaches five years of age. Vistara, a full-service Indian airline, has also introduced measures to support its female pilots and cabin crew. Pregnant pilots and cabin crew members can opt for temporary ground jobs or administrative roles until they are ready to fly again.
