More Than Movies: Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Unbeatable Guinness World Record
The Guinness World Records recognized Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, who his fans adored and affectionately dubbed Megastar. He received the Most Prolific Film Star in Indian Cinema accolade from them. On September 22, which is also the date of Chiranjeevi's 1978 movie debut, Aamir Khan and a representative from Guinness Records gave him the honor. In 46 years, the Waltair Veerayya actor broke the record for his dancing performances, executing over 24,000 dance movements and over 537 songs. No other actor, both domestically and internationally, has reached this feat. Chiranjeevi has reportedly acted in nearly 150 films, but the Guinness crew only included 143 of them.In his statement, Chiranjeevi mentioned that he never imagined of setting a Guinness World Record. He thanked his producers, directors, music directors, choreographers, and fans for their support. Regarding Chiranjeevi's dancing, Aamir Khan remarked, "He puts his whole heart into every song he does. We can't take our eyes off of him because he seems to be enjoying every move. The occasion was attended by his daughter Sushmita Konidela as well as members of his extended family Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, and Panja Vaissnav Tej. Fans of Chiranjeevi complimented him on this unique honor in addition to his family. Regarding his career, Megastar Chiranjeevi's next project is the Telugu movie Vishwambhara. The movie, which is helmed by Mallidi Vassishta, is scheduled to hit theaters in January 2025.
