India Retains the Border Gavaskar Trophy by Winning the 2nd Test in Delhi

The Indian cricket team has once again made the nation proud by retaining the Border-Gavaskar trophy for the fourth consecutive time.   In the 2nd test, which was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, the Rohit Sharma-led side chased down the target of 115 runs in 26.4 overs to go 2-0 up in the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy   It was an exceptional performance by the Indian team, who outplayed the Australians in every department of the game. The bowlers were sensational, and the batsmen displayed their class and temperament. The Delhi test match was played on a difficult pitch, which offered a lot of turn and bounce. But the Indian team proved that they are the masters of playing on such surfaces.    India’s spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed all the opposition batters. No one from the Australian team was able to stand any ground against Ashwin and Jadeja. Jadeja picked up a total of seven in the second inning and registered his career-best figures of 7 for 42.   With this win, the Indian team's dominance in the longest format of the game is unquestionable. They have proven that they are the best team in the world and have set a benchmark for the other teams to follow.
