The veteran actor, known for his iconic roles and unmatched versatility, will be honored at the 70th National Film Awards on October 8. From 2009 until 2018, he also held the position of head judge, or "grandmaster," on the well-known dancing reality series dancing India Dance.The actor popularly known as "Mithun Da" debuted in the 1976 film Mrigayaa, directed by Mrinal Sen, for which he was nominated for a National Award for Best Actor.
