Vishakapatnam's Twenty-Year-Old Achieves Perfect 100 Percentile in CAT Exam
A twenty-year-old student from Vishakapatnam has accomplished a remarkable feat by achieving a perfect 100 percentile score in the Common Admission Test (CAT). How did this young student manage to secure such an exceptional result? Alamuri Kumar Sai Vishnu, a BSc Statistics graduate from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) in Vizag, stands out as the sole candidate from Andhra Pradesh and one of the three toppers from a non-engineering background among the 14 nationwide toppers in the CAT 2023 exam. Dedicating three to four hours daily to preparation, Vishnu adopted a distinctive approach compared to many CAT aspirants. Instead of enrolling in a coaching center, he relied solely on mock tests and previous-year question papers. His qualitative approach, focusing on quality rather than quantity, proved to be highly effective. Expressing his satisfaction with the achievement, Vishnu humbly stated that there is still more to accomplish. He aims to secure admission in top Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, or IIM Calcutta. Vishnu credits his family for their unwavering support, as they accepted his unconventional approach without objection. He intends to absorb all the knowledge offered by the institute, not only academically but also in terms of personality growth. Offering advice to fellow aspirants, Vishnu emphasized persistence and an unconventional approach as the key to achieving goals in life.
