Meet Vidisha Baliyan, First Indian to Get Conferred With the Title of Miss Deaf World 2019
The spark in her eyes tells how ambitious she is, the aura around her feels so positive and the surrounding lights up when she smiles. She is Vidisha Baliyan, the first Indian to win the title of Miss Deaf World 2019. Positivity and Hard Work Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, the 21-year-old enthusiastic Vidisha won the Miss Deaf India title in February. She has complete hearing impairment in the right ear while 90% in the left one. But she never considered it as a hindrance in her way, she rather emerged strong and won one of the most prestigious titles. Vidisha has been trained by Deepa Malik who is the first Indian female to bag a medal in Paralympic Games. Surpassing the Difficulties Apart from modelling, Vidisha is also passionate about sports. She is an international tennis player who earned the 5th rank in Deaflympics. There came a time in her life when she suffered from a severe back injury. Everything started losing its meaning for her but, she did not give up. Vidisha gathered all the strength and participated in the beauty pageant and nailed it completely. Vidisha did face a lot of difficulties in life due to hearing impairment but, the tough phases have only made her strong. Today she stands as an inspiration for numerous girls and women like her.
