Initiative To Deny "Development"
Dreaming to build a mitti ka ghar, these Delhi couple efforts have finally seen the daylight. After buying the land and sowing seeds, the duo wanted to build a house which was completely natural and eco-friendly. After their School of Architecture, they still were unaware of a way to building a mitti ka ghar. The duo wanted to a small hut, without any luxury that would harm the environment. After a few months, the couple came across a dream team, Kamal Chawla and Anshu Sharma, who worked for an organisation called SEEDS (short for, Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society). Anshu and Kamal had worked in several high altitude regions like Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir but this was the first time they worked in a rural area of Haryana. After a lot of thought over the building of the natural farmhouse, the final plan was made. With a mixture of mud and water, the house started taking shape. And after six months, a five-storey building was build in a natural way.
