Celebrate World Kindness Day Today and Every Day!
If you haven’t done a good deed recently, then don’t waste time to get it done today as the day is celebrated as World Kindness Day. A kind deed may involve looking after the child for a busy mother, making people smile, giving company to elders who are alone, holding the door open for a stranger or helping a family member to complete a chore. The purpose of celebrating World Kindness Day is to highlight the good deeds in the community and nurture the thread of kindness that binds us all together. Sometimes, a kind act is all it takes to cheer up a person and elevate him/her to a higher plane of existence. The World Kindness Day was introduced by the World Kindness Movement which is an international movement with no political, commercial or religious affiliations. Its aim is to connect people throughout the world through the common thread of kindness. Many countries like Canada, Japan, Australia, the United Arab Emirates including India celebrate World Kindness Day. Last year, Delhi celebrated this day with a huge flash mob that was a part of a WorldWide FlashMob in over 50 countries where people performed to the same song and dance. Today, in Mumbai, around 800 people are expected to participate in ‘Kindness jam’ which is a kindness themed show to celebrate the spirit of giving. This certainly is a day to be celebrated with great enthusiasm and eagerness as this day encourages individuals to overlook boundaries, race and religions. Image Source: Awareness Days
