An Insititute Like FTII.
The Kannada Film Industry students will soon have a separate institute for film and media studies. The initiative by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Kalavidara Sangha is spread across 15,000 square feet and is a four-storeyed structure located at Chamrajpet. The building was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday. Politician, actor and president of the artiste association — Ambareesh was also present at the ceremony. Currently the building has a multipurpose auditorium, which can be used to stage plays, for audio releases, premiere shows, censor board, film festivals and anything related to cinema, says producer Rockline Venkatesh, adding that their next immediate goal is to come up with a gym, yoga and meditation centre for the artists.
