Goa Gets The First Electric Bus.
With the largest number of tourist population, Goa surely needs a good amount of transport. To resolve the problem of transport and to keep it eco-friendly, The Kadamba Transport Corporation started Goa's first electric bus. The service of electric buses has already started and it's on a trial period. During the trial period, the bus will take different routes for one and a half month. If the trial is successful, Goa will have a maximum of 100 buses soon, said Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The K9 model bus which is 12m long was supplied by a Hyderabad-based company, Goldstone Infratech Limited. The company will maintain the buses and also pay them per kilometres subject to a minimum kilometre.
