Introducing Borealis: In a groundbreaking initiative, Singaporeans and visitors alike will soon have the rare opportunity to behold the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights, a phenomenon typically taking place in regions like Norway, Iceland, and Finland. However, on May 5, a new light installation dubbed Borealis will debut at Gardens by the Bay, promising to captivate audiences with its enchanting display. A Stellar Collaboration: During an exclusive preview on April 22, The Straits Times offered a sneak peek into the meticulous craftsmanship behind this captivating spectacle. Renowned Swiss artist Dan Acher has meticulously crafted Borealis, employing 30 lasers and cloud machines strategically mounted on the towering trunks of the Supertrees. These elements work in harmony to recreate the captivating dance of the Northern Lights, enveloping the Supertree Grove in a celestial aura.
