Chandigarh Students Send Gifts Of Friendship And Goodwill
November 13th is celebrated as World Kindness Day and to mark the occasion, students of many prominent schools of the Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula) will be sending new woolens for schoolchildren and hundreds of greetings for soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir. This event is the culmination of efforts by Independent Schools Association (ISA), Yuvsatta, and Peace Club of KBDAV Senior Secondary Public School in association with the Army, who are arranging transportation and final distribution. Madhu Bahl, regional director, DAV schools and a major partner in the initiative said “A formal function will be organized at KBDAV Senior Secondary Public School on November 13 to flag off the Army truck containing gifts of friendship and goodwill. This 'children to children' endeavor of love, friendship and patriotism will certainly generate much-needed warmth and goodwill to further sustain and strengthen the spirit of one India, which we all admire and adore a lot." R D Singh secretary, Independent Schools Association, Chandigarh, and New Public School principal stated that peaceful coexistence is possible when young ones have compassion and concern for others and it is necessary to inculcate these qualities in them. This initiative was to bring about an inspiring change for good of all.
