Teachers Overcome Obstacles to Educate Class 3 Student with Cerebral Palsy
In a heartwarming display of compassion, teachers at Oachira Memana GMLP School in Kerala have gone above and beyond to ensure the education of one of their students with cerebral palsy. Archith, a determined Class 3 student, faced difficulties attending school regularly due to his medical condition. However, his desire to learn remained unwavering. Upon learning about Archith's situation, his class teacher Nisha R, along with other teachers and the headmistress Hareesa, came up with an innovative solution. They decided to create a classroom in Archith's home, transforming a corner into a small and cozy learning space. This thoughtful initiative allowed Archith to receive education in the comfort of his own home. The teachers volunteered their time, visiting Archith's home on their days off to conduct classes. While there are administrative formalities to be completed and higher-ups to be informed, they remain optimistic that they will receive approval to conduct more classes in the future. Despite being diagnosed with a 70 percent disability, Archith's determination to learn never faltered. He expressed his longing to meet his best friends, Aisha and Anandu, whom he missed due to not being able to attend school regularly. Nisha madam, his class teacher, promised to take him to school, giving him hope of reuniting with his friends. Archith's grandmother, Suma Ashokan, expressed gratitude to the dedicated teachers for their unwavering support and care. She emphasized the importance of the support Archith receives, stating that it brings him happiness and enables him to pursue his studies.
