Today, on World Environment Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed a message of nurturing a better planet.
He has conveyed his regards and gratitude to all those who are working towards preserving the environment. He tweeted, “World Environment Day is the right time to reaffirm our commitment to protecting our environment and nurturing a better planet.” He later tweeted, “We salute the will & determination of all those individuals & organizations working towards protecting the environment.”
Paris climate agreement is a method, a negotiated framework by various nations over the reduction of greenhouse emission. The agreement aims at keeping a check on the increasing average global temperature by lowering greenhouse emissions by many initiatives. Also, it helps to adapt to negative effects of climate change and looks after the finance flow over various climate development programmes. On the United States’ President Donald Trump’s announcement of leaving the Paris climate deal last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commented that the current generation must not deprive the future generation of their rights of a clean and healthy environment.
He has tweeted that this year’s theme of ‘connecting to nature’ is nothing with ‘connecting to ourselves’.
By all his tweets he has reaffirmed the commitment of protecting our environment.
