Starting September 21, China has introduced a bullet train that covers over 1200 km in just 4.5 hours. The bullet train from Shanghai to Beijing is the fastest in the world so far and is equipped with state of the world technology.
The bullet train is named, ‘Fuxing,’ which means rejuvenation, as this move comes six years after China lowered its train speeds. The bullet train is being touted as one of the safest in the world with a smart monitoring system that lowers its speed automatically if it detects an emergency. It also has a remote data transmission system which tracks its speed in real time.
Fuxing runs at a maximum speed of 400 km/hr and an average speed of 350 km/hr. The train has reduced the travel time between Beijing and Shanghai by over an hour.
The train is fully WI-Fi enabled with power sockets and state of art infrastructure. The train is also said to consume 10% less energy than its previous model and has a life of 30 years which is 10 years more than any other trains. All in all, Fuxing has set precedent for upcoming high-speed rail transport globally.
