The World Book Fair 2018 is being held in Pragati Maidan in Delhi from 6-14 January. Into its 45th year, the theme of the fair this time is the environment and to highlight this, a green-walled hall – number 7E – lined with bamboo sticks is set up near the information desk with the message, ‘Go green’.
The Delhi smog had made its residents realize about environmental issues and this fair is a platform to promote awareness of the environment. Five hundred books in various languages, all focusing on the environment, have been put on display in the hall. The decorations inside have all been done in a way to inspire people to protect water, air, flora and fauna. It is necessary to save the environment in order to save mankind.
