Lack of access to regular health check-ups is a serious issue in some parts of India. Maternal health care is extremely poor in rural areas due to the limited availability of basic medicines and infrastructure. The situation might have improved from the past years but, a lot more is yet to be introduced. A few days back, women of Bidkin village in Aurangabad district not only got an insight into health-related tips but, also went through body check-ups and examinations. A health-check up drive was organized in the village which benefitted them a lot.
Several women were a part of the drive, apart from limited access to health care facilities, cost of treatments is also a matter of concern for them. Thus, it was a great initiative taken by the organizers.
Several people in rural regions die due to lack of treatment. They often neglect a health issue which gives rise to bigger problems in the future. Therefore, generating awareness about leading a healthy lifestyle is not only necessary in urban areas but, also in villages.
