In a time where stress has become a part of everyone’s life, yoga helps us keep anxiety at bay. The spiritual and ascetic discipline is practised by numerous people and yogini, Asem Jayanti Devi recently got felicitated for her immense contribution in the field of yoga.
Jayanti got conferred with the International Best Yoga Master Award -2018 on the closing ceremony of 7th International Yoga Festival on Sunday. It was held at Smart Students’ School in Pattaya.
Jayanti belongs from Imphal and she has been practising yoga since her childhood. She holds a PhD degree in it and is currently the head of yogic science and human consciousness department at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University in Ajmer.
While expressing the happiness about Jayanti’s big win, her elder brother told on Monday: “I’m so happy with my echan (younger sister) bagging the prestigious award. Today we will hold a small celebration for her achievement in our family.” As reported by TOI.
Right from mobility to body posture to mental health, practising yoga can be advantageous in several ways and we wish Jayanti reaches out to more people and incorporates the benefits of yoga in them.
