Kanchanmala Pande is an epitome strength and courage as she fights all odds to win medals for India in spite of being visually challenged. She has won several medals at international, National and State level since she was a child. Taking her disability in her stride, she has even competed successfully with sighted swimmers at all levels.
Pande has won nine international medals and has always been a gold medalist at national and state levels. Recently she shot to fame when she bagged India’s first gold medal at the World Para-Swimming Championship held in South Korea. She is truly an inspiration to many especially the disabled athletes to strive hard and achieve success.
