There was a celebration in Chhattisgarh's northeast Jashpur District as two boys were selected to attend courses at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Deepak Kumar and Nitesh Painkra from the tribal villages of Kudekela and Jargam respectively made their families proud by securing admission in the textiles department of the premier institution.
The Jashpur district administration had set up a coaching unit to prepare students for the entrance examination. 21 students from Jashpur were selected for National Institute of Technology (NIT) and IIT, out of which two are in IIT Delhi. The boys said they were grateful to the district administration for all the support including arranging for their trip to Delhi.
