India makes a new world record in the Guinness Book, as it gets announced onto their website. The bust of ‘Adiyogi’ Lord Shiva at the outskirts of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest bust made.
The bust is at the Isha Yoga Foundation. It is 112.4 feet high, 24.99 metres wide and 147 feet long. The last verification for the same was done on March 11, 2017. The bust was unveiled by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24, 2017.
The bust was made by the Isha Foundation. Thousands of people visit the spot everyday. Isha Foundation is led by spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev. The bust is made in the significance of the yogic knowledge provided to us by the Adiyogi. Adiyogi refers to originator of yoga. The bust signifies the source of Yoga and the 112 self-transformation methods offered by the Adiyogi. The foundation plans to build three more busts across the country.
This is the second world record set up by the Foundation. First one was on October 17, 2006 when the Isha Foundation entered the Guinness Book of World Records by planting 8.52 lakh saplings.
