Michael Todd, a freshman at a high school in Memphis, Tennessee was overwhelmed by his classmates’ kind gesture. When he started the school year three weeks ago, he was constantly bullied for wearing the same clothes daily to school.
Todd told WHBQ-TV that he really didn’t have clothes at home. His mom couldn’t buy clothes for him as he was growing too fast. So he wore the same clothes and other kids made fun of his attire.
Two students from Todd’s class- Kristopher Graham and Antwan Garrett- noticed this and decided to step in to help. They handed over a bag filled with shirts, shorts and shoes to the freshman.
Todd was very touched by their act of kindness and said that their generous act was simply "awesome." Todd, who was always a victim of bullying was so overwhelmed by this gesture of kindness that he said that it was the best day of his life.
Graham said that he felt the need to help Todd when he saw people laugh and bully him. So he selected a bunch of clothes from his closet to be given to Todd. Garett also did the same for him. Garrett said that Todd’s reaction on receiving the gift was priceless.
In an environment of hostility, these two high school boys stood out for their act of kindness and generosity and inspires others to help those in need.
