"Dream, Dream, Dream! Conduct these dreams into thoughts, and then transform them into action."

The future will not be bright without education but not everyone is lucky to get access to it. There are parents who struggle to pay for their child’s notebooks every year while some cannot afford to enroll their little ones in a school. But the founders of Akshar Foundation have a different approach towards the whole education system.
Founded by Mazin Mukhtar and Parmita Sarma, the 100-student module school in Pamohi, Assam does not charge any money to provide education. But what they expect from their students is to bring plastic wastes from their homes, which is considered as the only fee.
Every student is taught how to reuse and recycle the wastes which educate them about the environmental problems caused by plastics. On talking about the same with NDTV, the Vice Principal of Akshar Foundation, Priyongfu Bor Thakhur said: “We want each and every student to learn about the challenges that are prevailing in the society and come up with the solutions to fix it. We want them to be the leaders of the change and not just any other people who add to the problem.”
The school also has a meta-teaching system where older students are taught how to educate the younger ones and are even employed by the authorities as assistant teachers.
Akshar Foundation has a big heart for animals too. They have not only sheltered abandoned dogs but, also found loving homes for them.
The world needs more people like Mazin and Parmita to introduce such great educational institutions because our children have the ability to change society. All that they need is proper guidance.
