Sometimes the world will pull you down and failure may come in your way but, to be able to emerge as a winner from that situation totally lies in your hand. Melody Stein wanted to be a part of one of the most prestigious culinary academies however, being deaf made people doubt her abilities. Life can never be at a standstill if you constantly work towards achieving your goals. Similarly, Melody proved everybody wrong after surpassing all the hardships.
Today she along with her husband, Russ who is also deaf runs and own a Pizzeria in San Francisco named Mozzeria. And the best part about their pizza joint is that it only employs deaf people. And now with the help of several million dollars investment from the Communication Service for the Deaf Social Venture Fund, the couple will come up with their second pizzeria in DC as reported by The Washington Post.
At Mozzeria, the workers communicate with the customers by writing down their orders on a paper or by pointing out the food items and some via sign language too. The second branch of Mozzeria will hire more employees than the number of people who work in the San Francisco joint.
Every one of us has the ability to rise and shine therefore, demotivating a person may leave you jaw-dropped if they ever become the best versions of themselves. Melody’s story tells us why we must let rejections give a boost to our desires and not make us lose hope.
