Nature is the most precious gift of God and we are told to look after it with utmost care. On Earth Day a lot of people urged to keep the environment clean and listed down the problems our mother nature is facing. We are certainly aware of people who are doing a great job to conserve our planet. But, did you know a four-legged pooch is also contributing to keeping the surrounding of Mesa, Arizona clean?
Chipper the 8-year-old rescue dog loves to pick up trash. His owner Katie Pollak appreciates whenever he picks up a plastic bottle, the day she realized Chipper has a knack for picking up plastic bottles she encouraged him and also rewarded him for his good deed.
While talking about how people get excited to see what Chipper actually does, Katie told the 3rd hour of Today, "I'll go to group cleanups in the area, and when people see him, they're like, 'Chipper's here!' So everyone gets to come to meet him and see what he's all about."
Katie and Chipper love taking a stroll around their area and also indulge in adventures such as paddleboarding and hiking. From crushed beer cans to all sorts of garbage, they collect everything to keep the environment clean.
Katie adopted Chipper in 2011 and today they have become a great team and do amazing work for the planet earth together. And if Captain Planet ever needed a sidekick, Chipper would have been a great guy.
