Life hits us with an unacceptable reality when the news of losing someone close comes into the picture. The path ahead seems difficult to cross but, as days pass by, we try to come in terms with the fact. It was the darkest day in Bobby Sehgal’s life when he learned about his son’s death due to dengue. And after two years of his demise, the businessman from Delhi started a noble service to honour his son.
In order to help the underprivileged people of society, Bobby began a free ambulance service. The initiative was started five years ago and is called Sahil Memorial Society.
Bobby was running two ambulances until June 13 as he purchased the third one that very day which marks as his son’s birthday.
Apart from running the ambulance service, Bobby also helps the needy in other ways as he told India Today: “I am on duty in the hospital from 8 am to 2 pm. I serve the poor there be it any kind of test or disease. Whatever it may be, I go and serve the people there.”
Its been 8 years since Bobby lost his son and with great strength, he has been serving the society today. No matter how big of a curve ball life throws at you, it never comes to an end. Grief, losses and our experiences teach us how to stand tall and remain unbroken during the rest of the journey.
