Life sometimes takes a drastic turn and make things difficult for us. But our experiences and the past teach us how to bounce back. Chris Norton was hit by a shocking reality when he got paralyzed from his neck down while playing for his college football team but, the incident has only made him stronger.
Chris’ life started blooming when he came across Emily as she motivated him a lot. And today they both are married and living a beautiful life together.
Emily has been with Chris through every thick and thin. She inspired him so much that he could walk at his graduation and also down the aisle on their wedding.
After 15 months of their wedding, the couple started a new life. Together they fostered 17 children and not just that, they also adopted five girls as reported by Inside Edition.
The couple has also written a memoir named The Seven Longest Yards and while talking about the same with Inside Edition, Chris said: "The seven yards comes from my goal to walk Emily seven yards down the aisle on our wedding, to do it side by side, and it took seven years in the making. All the way from spinal cord injury to that wedding day."
Chris and Emily's story tells us the importance of being optimistic and why it is needed to be giving. They have not only surpassed a tough phase together but, have also given a new life to the children.
