What would you do if you ever win a grocery shopping spree? Think of every single thing that you need for your pantry or decide to donate everything to a food bank? Ryan Warren and Chantal Leroux chose to do the latter.
The couple who won the contest by The Grocery People were allowed to pick groceries worth $500 within the time period of just 50 seconds from the supermarket, Bragg Creek Foods. But Ryan managed to grab goods worth $593.58 by the end of the spree and TGP decided to give the extra items to them.
Along with the groceries that he grabbed from the supermarket, Ryan also collected $1,500 from local companies to hand over a cheque and the items to the food bank as reported by CBS News.
While talking to CBS News, Chantal said: "We were really excited to receive the call," said Leroux. "I immediately envisioned grabbing all sorts of things for my own cupboard and then after I reflected a couple of seconds later, I thought what a great opportunity to be able to give back."
How beautiful this world would be if all of us have the same thought as Ryan and Chantal’s? Kindness always triumphs everything.
