Each and every woman has a dream and they very well know how to plan accordingly in order to see that dream turn into reality. But what happens when society labels our desires as futile? Some shatter into pieces while some make its way despite the road being rocky. It has been a long journey for Roopa Divakar Moudgil and she is still standing strong.
The 43-year-old IPS officer from Davanagere, Karnataka got her first posting at the age of 24 and since then she has been handling each and every case fearlessly. From exposing illegal practices to catching the wrongdoers, Roopa has carried on with her duties valiantly.
The courageous IPS officer from Karnataka cadre says life is not always easy for an IPS officer. When she was posted to a remote area, there was no access to modern facilities due to which her family had to sacrifice a lot.
Whenever you try to do something good, there would be someone to pull you down. Roopa’s daring ways of solving a case was not liked by a lot of them owing to which she has been transferred 40 times in her career. An offender will always fear of getting exposed and Roopa stood like a threat in their way. But, all of that couldn’t break Roopa’s courage, she is still undaunted.
In 2013, Roopa became nation’s first female police officer to lead the Cyber-Crime police division and has been conferred with the President’s Police Medal twice.
Roopa’s heroic deeds have inspired us all and her story tells us that a strong will and desire can help you face every difficulty. Be fearless and walk through life with your chin up because nothing can break you until and unless you decide to give up.
