Pollution is one of the biggest challenges of our time and green fuels are one of the most necessary components of transitioning to a more sustainable future. To this end, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India Energy Week (IEW) 2023 in Bengaluru on February 6. This G20 event will run from February 6 to 8 and bring together over 30,000 delegates, 1,000 exhibitors, and 500 speakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of India's energy future.
At the event, Prime Minister Modi will launch multiple initiatives in the field of green energy, including the E20 Fuel at 84 retail outlets of oil marketing companies in 12 states. E20 is a blend of 20% ethanol with petrol and the government is aiming to achieve 20% blending of ethanol by 2025. Oil marketing firms are setting up ethanol plants to achieve this end.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will flag off a green mobility rally for creating awareness about clean fuels and dedicate a twin-cook top model of Indian Oil's indoor solar cooking system. This ground-breaking indoor solar cooking technology uses both solar and backup power sources at once.
The India Energy Week 2023 is a landmark event in the nation's journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.
