The Global Entrepreneur Summit(GES) which got underway at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Tuesday has a young visitor. Hamish Finlayson is a 13-year-old social entrepreneur and app developer who is also the youngest delegate at the Summit and one of its star attractions.
The Australian teenager has not only set up his own enterprise - Moonshot Industries, global - but has also developed some socially relevant apps and games. His first game LitterbugSmash is all about keeping the sea plastic free.
Hamish said that it all began when he participated in a competition called Young ICT Explorers which was all about using technology to find solutions to world problems. He decided to make a video game that encouraged people to stop litter. Even after the competition, he worked on the game and expanded it.
Hamish is truly incredible as he didn’t let autism come in the way of his passion. He is also trying to teach people what autism is all about.
After developing four environment related apps and games and one on ASD (autism spectrum disorder) he is now working on the sixth one - a virtual reality game that deals with road safety and is aimed at helping kids, especially those suffering from ASD, cross the road.
