Harishit Srivathsav Polina is a gold medalist in architecture and is planning to do his higher studies abroad. What many don’t know is that apart from drawing designs for buildings, Harishit is adept at making beautiful portraits of well-known personalities.
Harshit is a self-taught artist hailing from Rajamahendravaram and he is rooted in Andhra culture. He expresses his love for Tollywood actors by drawing their portraits and in turn receives praise from them. He exercises his creative faculties for expressing his art and produces sketches that anyone would adore.
Harishit’s artwork includes different characters played by Mahesh Babu, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, sportsperson P V Sindhu, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev among many others.
According to Harishit, he has completed more than 350 portraits to date. He won the first prize in the international portrait sketching competition held by Madame Tussauds Singapore during the event of unveiling of the Mahesh Babu statue, a famous south Indian actor. He even met the actor in Hyderabad and gave him his portrait.
Harish states that he derives his inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci, a role model, mentor, and philosopher. He has read his biography and paintings in great detail. His profound drawings convey a lot of meaning. Throughout his life and now, Leonardo is still held in high regard in the art world.
According to Harishit, art is the other name for expression and freedom. It is an art that sets you free, asserts Harishit.
