Saudi Arabia will end its ban on women drivers by June and ahead of it, the kingdom has hosted its first car exhibition aimed at women. It was the only country to impose a ban on women drivers and that was seen as a sign of suppression of women.
Women flocked to Le Mall in Jeddah to check out the kingdom’s first car exhibition aimed at women. The recent ascent to power of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been regarded by many young Saudis as a sign of liberalism and progress.
