Beauty can be found everywhere if you do your utmost for nature and love it wholeheartedly. Kerala’s S Ayappan’s love for greenery is immense and until now he has planted 8000 trees. He is just not doing his part but, also setting an example for children so that the future remains in good hands.
Ayappan believes that an opportunity to increase greenery can emerge anytime hence he carries saplings and a spade with him every time. Apart from planting saplings that bear fruits, he also plants Malayalam zodiac trees. And he also makes it a point to organize orientation classes for children before planting the trees.
The future can be brighter for our children if this planet is covered with a lot of greenery and Ayappan also feels the same. In a conversation with The Hindu, he said: “Planting a tree is the biggest service one can do. We may not reap the benefits but our children will.”
The portal also reported that there is a vaga tree in his house which is fifteen years and eight months old. He planted it on his son’s first year birthday. He has planted saplings on other people’s birthdays too.
Ayappan who is also a yoga teacher has planted trees in almost 200 schools but, planting saplings is not the only thing he loves to do. He is even researching germinating seeds and has written books for children and also penned down the lyrics of a devotional album.
This world needs more people like Ayappan to protect mother nature and create a wonderful future for the next generation. Its high time for everyone to understand that deforestation and polluting the environment will only create an unsafe surrounding for them.
