Fans at Holkar Stadium, Indore witnessed the 2nd highest record T20 score of 260/5 made by Indians against Sri Lanka yesterday. The Indore stadium seems to be the lucky hunting ground for India as the highest ever ODI total of 418/5 against West Indies was also made on the same ground on 8th Dec 2011. The fans at Indore will never forget these two outings.
T20 match was played awesomely by all Indian players and the outstanding performance of Rohit Sharma was worth watching. He made the fastest T20 International century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka and the team beat Sri Lankans comprehensively by 88 runs. India now leads the series 2-0. The Sri Lankan batters offered some stiff resistance, but quick wickets by Indian bowlers put them on the backfoot.
Having won the first Twenty20 international in Cuttack, Rohit Sharma's pro-active captaincy and power packed Indian players were all set to blow away the Sri Lankans.
Skipper Rohit Sharma equalled the record for a fastest Twenty20 century with his most sixes hits in international cricket in 2017.
