After yoga and self-defence, now road safety will also be a part of school education in Utter Pradesh. With increasing number of road accidents, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath now stresses the need to educate children about road safety. This road safety will be a part of all government run primary and secondary schools.
Now the officials have asked to incorporate a chapter that teaches students details about road safety.
Also to ensure the safety of students traveling by school bus. there will be ‘Track My Bus’ mobile application to know the location of UPSRTC buses in real time.
The CM issued these directives while watching a presentation on the transport department’s programmes and policies on Saturday evening.
With increasing number of road mishaps, it is a matter of concern for Uttar Pradesh.
19,320 people died and another 25,096 were injured in 35,612 cases of road accidents reported between January 2016 and December 2016 in Uttar Pradesh. With students getting the knowledge of road safety and precautionary measures while traveling, this move will surely help students in transforming into a better citizens.
