For the first time on Friday, more than 40 laboratories in the IIT Madras, where researchers are working on cutting-edge technologies, opened its doors for public. This initiative has been undertaken as art of Shastra 2018 tech fest.
PhD scholars working on a host of projects welcomed students from other colleges to their labs. From a hand-held device to detect adulteration in milk to testing of the aerodynamics of projectiles and studying the reaction of human body to ayurvedic therapies, students got an insight into the state-of-art facilities and were excited to interact with the researchers.
