People visit the mountains to witness how bewitching nature is but, sometimes the beauty gets covered up when the hills are strewed with garbage. Littering is causing a deluge of problems to the environment and us humans are to be blamed for it. Recently, Nepal Army put in all their efforts to clear 2 tons of trash from the Mount Everest which left us wondered how can people do something destructive like this to our mother nature?
The laudable campaign was a part of 24th Annual Wildlife Week by Sagarmatha National Park Office and 2.5 tons of tool was brought to clear the trash.
In order to dispose of the biodegradable waste, half of it was sent to Kathmandu through a social enterprise, Blue Waste to Value while the other half is being treated.
Campaigns like this can not only keep the environment pristine but, can also generate awareness among people. Thus, an increase in such initiatives can benefit nature in every way.
