A web portal, NARI was launched on Tuesday by the Union Minister for woman and child development Maneka Gandhi which provides information on the various government schemes for women.
Information on the different schemes offered by state governments as well as the Centre can be accessed by logging on to www.nari.nic.in.
The portal carries 350 different schemes that will be updated regularly. The schemes are divided into seven different categories — education, health, employment, housing and shelter, addressing violence, decision making and social support.
