With a view to attract more and more youngsters to the fire brigade jobs and field, The Mumbai Fire Brigade will now start a fire safety week. What special about this fire safety week is that it will be up on social media. Apart from roping in the new media for its awareness there will also be regular road shows and exhibitions which will help common man to know more about this noble duty.
The department plans to organise interactive sessions online between firemen and Mumbaikars.
The regular work being done by fire works should reach the common man and they should also know how this field is one of the best field that safeguards people from fire accidents and mishaps. Therefore the interaction sessions will work on answering all the queries of common man regarding working in fire brigade. It will also display the regular work of fire brigade through posts on social media. As a part of the fire safety week, the department will start a Facebook page and a twitter account . People can follow all the work done by fire brigade on this page.
As a part of the road show which will start from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation headquarter and end at Vikhroli there will be a display of antique fire fighting equipments. People can have a look and understand the working of fire brigade then and now.
