The world has got its tallest sand castle in Germany. Ten designers from around the world came together in the month of August to build a 55- foot sand fortress. It has broken the record for the world’s tallest sand castle.
It took about three and a half weeks to build the magnificent 17-meter castle in Duisburg, Germany. Around 3,860 tons of sand was used up for the castle. On September 1st a jury from the Guinness World Records gave its verdict and officially registered the sand castle as the tallest in the world.
Apart from the sheer size of the breathtaking structure, one cannot miss its exterior which is intricately carved with cultural elements from around the world. The designs reflect the diversity of the designer team.
This marvellous creation will be on display until September 29th in Germany.
Indian artist Sudarsan Pattnaik previously held the world record for the tallest sand structure when he built a 48-foot model back in February. Sudarsan and his 45 students took about 9 days to prepare the sculpture. The sand sculpture was built with the theme of World Peace.
