She might be small but, has the ability to reach heights. Meet Mithila Girish from Kippadi, three years and nine months old girl who left no stone unturned to stand out. The little one is a stellar swimmer and her talent led to something remarkable. A lake in Shivamogga city of Karnataka which got revived was anonymous but, has been now named after Mithila.
Mithila started swimming from the age of 2.5 years and her ability as a swimmer got noticed at an event organized by Jalayoga Sagara Trust and Hakkalali Heritage Homes. She made everyone jaw-dropped by covering a distance of 2.5km while swimming from Ambaragodlu Holebagilu to Kalasavalli in Sharavati backwaters.
In a conversation with TOI, the founder of Sagara Trust, Harish Damodar Nawathe said that they acknowledged Mithila’s talent by christening the revived lake after the little girl.
Mithila has made everyone around her proud at a tender age. Her entire life is ahead of her and we are sure she will achieve something even more monumental in the near future.
