Gulshan Books is the only bookshop-library on a lake and it has entered the Limca Book of Records for its wide collection of 80,000 books. Gulshan Books is a Kashmiri publishing house at Jammu and Kashmir's Nehru Park Island on Dal Lake. It has a reading room and a cafe, where readers can enjoy their favorite books over a cup of tea or coffee.
The publishing house has displayed a wide variety of books and literature based on the valley. People interested in Kashmiri literature are provided free shikara boat rides to the store by its owner.
