"Dream, Dream, Dream! Conduct these dreams into thoughts, and then transform them into action."

Sushil Meena was disappointed to see young children working as labourers in food stalls, in factories and even as rag pickers. He realized that without access to education, these children can never get job opportunities that will help them to lead a better life.
Parents of economically backward kids couldn’t realize that by engaging their children in working to earn income, they are depriving them of education and better opportunities in life.
Nirbhed Foundation
Sushil Meena along with a friend Taruna Vidhay, an officer in a national bank founded the Nirbhed foundation to provide food and education to underprivileged children. Its aim is to empower children of economically backward sections with education to make them self-reliant and employable so that they can enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life.
There was a steady increase in the inflow of students and they currently have 3500 children in all the four centres including UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.
Funds For The Foundation
One may wonder, how a railway employee can manage food and teachers for all children. Sushil said the primary funds comprise of the salaries of core team members and remaining funding comes from a crowdfunding organization called Milaap, which provides money for the food requirements.
The foundation doesn’t accept cash/monitory support from individuals. Anything in kind like stationery, raw food, packed food, cooked food, clothes, toys etc according to the need of children are always welcome.
While most of us would like to enjoy our leisure time after a day’s work, people like Sushil inspire us to think inclusively and serve selflessly.
