Manali is all set to open a sky cycling park which is one of a kind in India. Visitors will be able to cycle for a distance of 350 m. at a height of 9000 ft.
The sky cycling park is situated in Manali’s Gulaba area and will be thrown open to visitors in 15 days. It has been built by the Forest Department in collaboration with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports with the purpose of promoting tourism in the region. Local people will be trained to provide assistance and service to the tourists which will also lead to employment opportunities for the youth.
The sky cycling park is situated in an area which is surrounded by scenic beauty and lush green landscape. This project will attract tourists who not only can enjoy the scenic landscape but also take part in an adventure activity. People also throng Manali to enjoy paragliding and skiing at Solang Valley. The sky cycling park will be a new experience for the tourists in addition to the thrilling adventure sports taking place in the region.
Kullu Divisional Forest Officer Neeraj Chadda said that the project was executed at a cost of INR 13 lakh to increase tourism and provide visitors an opportunity to participate in adventure activities.
The sky cycling park seems to be a big hit when it opens as it will attract visitors to come there and enjoy this unique and thrilling experience.
